“Erosion” captures the interplay between nature's relentless forces and the delicate beauty of coastal life. Using shells collected from Strandhill beaches in Sligo, this print reflects on the transformative power of time and tide. The textured surface and layered colours evoke the gradual wearing away of both physical landscapes and personal experiences. The shells, imprinted onto the print, symbolise resilience amidst change, illustrating how natural elements, though worn down, maintain their essence. Through “Erosion”, I explore the concept of impermanence and the ongoing cycles of erosion and renewal, encouraging viewers to contemplate the beauty found in both decay and endurance.
